GOTB Index — Last updated June 2026
What we collect
When you use the GOTB Index portal, we collect the information you provide directly: your email address (used for authentication), your name, the school district you represent, and your responses to the GOTB assessment questions. Assessment submissions are stored along with a timestamp and the practice-area scores derived from your responses.
How we use it
Your information is used to deliver the GOTB Index service: authenticating your account, displaying your assessment results, sharing your results with the certified practitioner assigned to your district, and generating aggregate summaries for district-level reporting. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Who can see your data
Your assessment results are visible to you, to the certified GOTB practitioner assigned to your district, and to Effective School Boards administrators. Individual responses are not shared publicly. District-level aggregate summaries may be shared with other authorized users within the same district.
Data retention
Assessment submissions are retained for the duration of your engagement with the GOTB program. If you would like your data removed, contact us at the address below and we will delete your account and associated submissions within 30 days.
Security
Access to the portal is protected by email-based one-time codes. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information against unauthorized access.
